Ericsson closes acquisition of Devoteam Telecom & Media in France

The acquisition brings 400 skilled IT-services professionals in France

Ericsson further broadens its IT capabilities

Devoteam Telecom & Media operates in France under the Ericsson brand as of today

Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC),a player in communication technologies and services, announces the completion of its acquisition of Devoteam Telecom & Media in France. The closing follows the announcement on January 21, 2013.

Magnus Mandersson, Executive Vice President and Head of Business Unit Global Services, Ericsson, says: "Ericsson is strengthening its position in the consulting and systems integration (CSI) market in France with this acquisition. The shift toward increased consumer usage of advanced services is driving change as we move towards the networked society. CSI is of fundamental importance to transform operators’ businesses and improve end-customer experience."

Franck Bouétard, head of Ericsson in France says: "With the completion of this acquisition, we are now in a position to deliver in France end to end IT solutions and services to operators and media for their strategic assets that are networks, OSS, BSS and TV".

Ericsson welcomes 400 skilled IT-services employees who will be integrated into Ericsson in France over the coming months and will work under the Ericsson brand as of today. TV SmartVision operations are also part of the acquisition.

The branch for Consulting and Systems Integration (CSI) services assist service providers and operators in driving business transformation and ensuring competitiveness at the intersection where IT meets networks. Ericsson has about 15,000 consulting and systems integration experts. Over 1,500 consulting and systems integration projects are delivered on a yearly basis. By including Devoteam Telecom & Media CSI professionals Ericsson broadens and strengthens its offerings and confirms the company's long term ambition and commitment to the area.
